Recycling:

Recycling is a set of techniques with the objective to reuse materials that would be disposable, without use for man and ultimately settling down on Nature.

The industrial residues returned after consumption in a producing process is called recycling.

That awareness of recycling products appeared in the mid 70’s when some accidents happened in petroleum fields and environment questions began to get more attention and rigor.

The Plastic:

Plastic products are materials made of synthetic polymers derived from petroleum.

Such types of products are specific because they are not biodegradable, and their decomposition is very slow even taking centuries to be completely decomposed by nature.

Besides, their accumulation is inevitable and solutions that were used to solve the problem were burning and dumping.

However, in fact, these two acts that did not solve the question: they worsened the problem.

The gases burning produce toxic gases and it is extremely damaging for all animals and plants and dumping blocks that other materials biologically destructive decompose because plastic produces a layer that blocks the gases change and liquids made on process.

Relation of decomposition time between paper and plastic:

RECYCLED MATERIAL

PRESERVATION

DECOMPOSITION

1000 kg of paper

Cut down 20 trees

1 to 3 months

1000 kg of plastic

Extraction of millions of liters of petroleum

200 to 450 years
